Day 6

B:  oatmeal w raisins and smoothie
L:  peanut butter and jelly
S: raw pistachios and apple
D:  leftover sweet potato black bean burrito, no salt chips, salsa, guacamole
S:  homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

Day 5

B:  oatmeal w dates and smoothie
L:  peanut butter and jelly
S:  banana
D:  sweet potato black bean burrito, no salt chips, homemade salsa
S: apple sauce

Day 4

B:  leftover pancakes w smoothie
L:  chicken avocado salad sandwich
S:  apple slices
D:  spaghetti with grape tomatoes sauce, bread, salad

Day 3

B:  homemade pancakes
L:  chicken avocado salad sandwich and apple w peanut butter
D:  homemade pizza crust w oil/garlic base, tomato, zucchini, onion topping
S:  apple crisp muffin and apple sauce

Day 2

B:  oatmeal w raisins and fruit smoothie
L:  peanut butter and jelly and carrots
S:  banana
D:  chicken, red potatoes, salad
S:  homemade apple crisp muffin w dried cherries

Day 1

B:  oatmeal w raisins and cinnamon and fruit smoothie
L:  salad w homemade vinaigrette and banana
D:  6 oz chicken, steamed carrots, broccolette, sweet potato
S:  slice homemade bread and apple sauce

Low-iodine Diet

The diet that I will be following for the next four weeks has some specific guidelines.  Here is the gist of the do's and don'ts.

Not allowed:
Iodized salt and/or sea salt
Seafood or sea products
Dairy of any kind
Bakery products with iodine
Red dye #3
Most chocolate
Soy products

Allowed:
Fruits and vegetables
Unsealed nuts and nut butters
Egg whits
Fresh meats - up to 6 oz per day
Grain and cereal products low in iodine
Sugar, jellies, syrup
Herbs and spices
Oils
Soda
